Below you will find our most popular wireless bridge bundles
based on common distances and cable length scenarios.
|
Note: For Internet-only access you do not require anything faster than 11 Mbps since the Internet's maximum speed is less than 1 Mbps. Installing a 54 Mbps wireless bridge will not make your pages download or upload any faster. If you are sending large data files or video between two locations you may then require a 54 Mbps wireless bridge.

Distances are based on completely unobstructed and direct line-of-sight (LoS) in most real world situations (except where noted). Greater distances are possible but obstructions, weather, interference, etc. can have an effect on performance. Unobstructed and direct line-of-sight means just that; antennas at both points must see each other. There can be no obstructions (trees, terrain, buildings, structures) between the two (antenna) points. Simply stated, point A must see point B and point B must see point A. Click here for more information regarding line-of-sight.
We now offer WiFi-Plus multi-polorized and Luxul circular-polarized non-line-of-sight (NLoS; tree penetrating) antennas.

Our Tech Support is limited to only the cables and antennas in these bundles. We will not offer support on setting up the radios unless the radios were purchased from us separately or within another HD Communications Corp. bundle.
Additional Notes:
|
|
- Antennas and lightning arrestors are mounted outside your structure and must be grounded by means of a ground wire to the nearest ground rod or item that is grounded.
- As mentioned above with regards to line-of-sight: trees will effect the performance (of vertically-polorized antennas) if they are in the line-of-sight even if they are not completely filled in. Remember; tree branches and limbs move with the wind. This movement may disrupt the signal.
We now offer WiFi Plus non-line-of-sight (tree penetrating) multi-polorized antennas. Click for details.
- Data rates vary depending on conditions. Customers have reported data rates from 3.5 Mbps to 6.5 Mbps, depending on distances. Quoted manufacturers data rates of 11Mbps are possible but not realistic.
- Wireless bridges are designed to connect two separate locations and allow data to be transferred between the two locations. Think of it as replacing a LAN cable that connects two computers. These kits are only used for point-to-point communications.
